Points and Other Updates

I'm going to update the rewards, punishments, and points post, but let me talk here first.

Becky and I finally decided on what to do with the points. Here's how its going to work.

If you give us a dare, and we do it, you get a point, maybe 2 points if its a dare that requires both of us (in deep involvement, not just one of us as the referee or observer or whatever), plus maybe a bonus point if we think its an awesome dare, we haven't decided. Winning contests and stuff counts too, and we'll also give points for other stuff.

Here is what points will get you (for now, may change if we get bored of it)

1 point: you can tweak any dare we're going to do (when we announce that its coming up) by changing the odds. Things like changing the dice rules with "add one to your roll" or "you can't roll a three" or something like "flip a coin, if its heads, you have to do 15 minutes instead of 10" or "tails means no shoes" or whatever. Has to be a chance, not a fixed thing.

2 points: you can change something fixed, but still related to the dare. Its basically the step up of 1 point, rather than changing the odds, you can force the odds. You can change aspects of the dare "the dare said pants, but you get a skirt" or something.

3 points: You get to add something to the dare, whatever you want. It can be related, or not, up to you.

Couple unrelated things:

The meebo is working now, as far as I know, no clue what was wrong, but whatever.

We really like the interactive stuff. We miss talking to people on meebo, so chat us up! Send us emails! Halloween contest! We want to talk to you, its less fun when you don't play with us. If you have any suggestions, either for interactive stuff or for the points, let us know!

In fact, first person to comment with a suggestion gets 3 points. Second person 2 points. Third person 1 point.

1 comment:

  1. I suggest that you let people spend 5 points to move a dare up your 'to do' list.
Only a dare that you would do at some point anyway, of course. Not forcing dangerous/boring dares!
